Rezept aus den USA: Southern Pecan Pie

  • 3 Eier
  • 2/3 Tassen Zucker
  • 1 Prise Salz
  • 1 Tasse dunklen Maissirup
  • 1/3 Tasse Butter oder Margarine
  • 1 Tasse Pecannüsse
  • 1 "9inch-pastry shell", ungebacken

Die Eier mit Zucker und Salzaufschlagen. Butter schmelzen und zusammen mit dem Sirup und den Pecannüssen hinzufügen. Die Mischung in den Kuchenboden geben. Den Kuchen bei 175°C etwa 50 Minuten backen. Abkühlen lassen.


Die Amerikaner mögens süß... sehr süß... daher haben wir uns entschieden eine nicht ganz so süße Variante zu probieren. Auch die fertigen "pastry shells" sind hier nicht zu bekommen, also selbermachen! Mhhhhh....!!!
